Nutcracker Tablescape

Every year as I decorate for Christmas,  I deliberate over where to put the Nutcrackers.  This year I started them out on the window sill in the entry, moved them to the dining table, then to the console table and back  to the dining table again.  (Being a detail oriented, aka perfectionist, person has its drawbacks).

I love how this Nutcracker is guarding the empty vintage German candy tin.  I intend on buying some pecans to fill in the tin.

My favorite Nutcracker is the music box.  Can’t you just hear the music? So romantic!

As I set out my Southern Living inspired place settings,

I discovered that I had three of these little Nutcracker plates.  I set out two; one at each arm chair.

I love the whimsy the Nutcrackers bring to the dining room.  They are in the dining room to stay!

Until next time,

Sharon

Birds of a Feather

Birds of a Feather

I’ve always heard that you’re supposed to display like things and collections together for greater impact. So, I’m going to give it a try with my bird decor.  Tell me what you think.

This is the “before” of what I had displayed.  Simple, minimal, PLAIN.

Then, I gathered up my bird stuff and arranged it on the floor. Read the rest of this entry
