saturday’s show & tell showcase

Posted on

Thank you to everyone who linked up to Show & Tell this week.  I hope you took the time to visit some of the others who linked up too.  I am always in awe of everyone’s skill and the fact that you all bring something unique to the party. I believe today’s features will appeal to the mom, homemaker, d.i.y.-er, and crafter in all of us. ( cause we’re all that and a bag of chips)

Did y’all see this upcycled scotch tape box?

I can envision this soft, feminine rosette box on a little girl’s dresser holding hair ribbons and bows.

And don’t throw away your canning jars.  They make great pendant lights!

For those who are looking for their next washi tape project, these next two projects are sure to inspire.  First we have the washi tape calendar.

Even the longest of summer days will be met with excitement with such a fun calendar.

And taking washi tape to a whole new level is this virtual version.

I can just see your wheels turning!

It was fun seeing the paint color choices Jennifer picked out for her front door.

Have you ever used the Sherwin Williams paint visualizer?

Carrie shared her expertise with us so that we can paint like a pro.

With these tips and tools for painting furniture, you can’t go wrong.

Now that the kids are home from school, they’ll be reaching for the snacks more often.  Here are some great ideas for healthy options.

These treats sound so tasty, that I don’t think they’ll miss the junk food.

When it comes to house design and home decor, I’m going to take my cue from Shirley.  She had the builders redesign the designated breakfast room into a sunroom.

It turned out beautifully!  And now she and her family have a room that better suits their lifestyle.

Today’s features are so full of inspiration and tips.  You have certainly earned a gold star!

I will be pinning all of these great ideas to my Show & Tell Highlights board on Pinterest.  If you want to pin something you see here today, please click on the link above each photo to go to the original source.  That way credit can be given where credit is due.  We all appreciate that courtesy!

Hope to see you back here on Wednesday for another Show & Tell.

Until next time,

Sharon

I like that y’all bring a little bit everything to Show & Tell: gardening, recipes, home decor, crafts, d.i.y., and various tips. It takes all of it to make a house a home, and I truly love anything to do with homemaking.

So, today, I will feature one or two links from each category. Let’s start with gardening.

All you flower lovin’ gardeners, including myself, will love the gorgeous display at Miss Gracie’s House.

Did you know that you get a big return for your investment on landscaping when you sell your home?  Curb appeal is the first impression a potential buyer gets.

Danette at The Shady Porch has created a garden oasis in her front yard.

Let’s go inside now and look at some home decor.  A foyer is a great place to tell your visitors a little something about the family who lives in your home.  Micki at ADD Houswife took the opportunity to do just that.

I think this entry says “fun and creative.”

Who doesn’t love a good kitchen makeover? Julie at Red Head Can Decorate saw the full potential and great bones in her future kitchen.

Red head really can decorate!  Speaking of kitchens, I think we all love a good recipe.

Mary’s Cinco de Mayo menu is filled with great recipes that are great for any day of the year.

Margaritas and summer time go hand in hand.  All this talk about margaritas has me thinking about happy hour….happy hour projects that is.  Adrianne shares a really cute idea for an end of the year Teacher’s gift.

I’d wear it as an anklet all summer long, til it fell off.   I told Adrianne that my favorite part of any teacher gift is remembering the student who gave it to me.

And my favorite part of hosting a link party is showing off your projects.  Congratulations on your features!  I have a button for your if you want to grab it.

I will also be pinning all of today’s features on my Show & Tell highlights board on Pinterest.  If you pin anything you see here today, please click on the link above each photo to be taken to the original source.  That way credit can be given where credit is due.  Thanks!

Show & Tell, no. 20!

Last week’s party was soooo fun!  It was the biggest party yet: most link ups, most clicks and most views.  Woohoo!  And like I always say, “the more the merrier.”  Link parties are such a great way to meet other bloggers, build relationships and get inspiration.

Just to give you an example, it is through link parties that I have discovered so many of my favorite blogs.  And the relationships come from regularly visiting those blogs and leaving genuine comments.  I actually got to meet Pamela @ From My Front Porch To Yours in person.  I’ll tell you more about that on Friday.  Relationships have also been formed through collaborating with other bloggers on things like guest posts, button swaps and sponsorship.

The inspiration is truly yours for the taking.  All you have to do is visit other links in the party.  Sometimes my mind starts racing and my heart starts pounding from all of the inspiration I get from others; from you.  You have made me a better decorator and more budget conscious.  I’m really excited about that and about all that the world of blogging has to offer.

All of this to say that I believe link parties are worth our while.  I’m so delighted that you choose to spend your Wednesdays with me at Show & Tell.  I said it last week, and I’ll say it again, I don’t take that for granted.

And here we are for another week of Show & Tell.  It’s your time to shine!  Share your latest home decor, d.i.y, crafts, recipes, tips, tutorials…if you did it, you can link up.  Feel free to link up as many projects as you like as long as it is new to Show & Tell.
