show & tell, no. 16

Posted on

I hope you had as much as I did at our show & tell party last week.  Just in case you missed it, here are some of the highlights.

I had such romantic notions about having my very own greenhouse until Wendy shared her experience.

I can’t help but be reminded of The Wizard of Oz.  ”Auntie Em, Auntie Em!”

I absolutely love the beautiful frame that Angie made out of  junk glass.

You can find the tutorial, as well as a link to print old photos, and a great tip about what to do with your old frames at Knick of Time Interiors.

Betsy welcomed us into her beautiful tropical bedroom.

Ooooh, Betsy’s little paradise has me longing for a tropical vacation.

What do you get when you cross an old suitcase with an old phonograph table?  A fabulous side table!

I’m so impressed with Karin’s ingenuity.

Congratulations, friends!  If you’ve been featured, I have a gold star just for you.

Now it’s time for you to shine at another week of Show & Tell.

You can share your diy projects, home decor, treasures, recipes, crafts, tutorials, photography…anything you’ve created.  Link up as many projects as you like.  You have from now until Monday at midnight to turn in your assignment.  ”Grades” will be posted next Wednesday.  ;)

Please provide a link back to the party so that others can join us.  The more the merrier.  Have fun!

We had a great party last week!  It’s my pleasure to get to show you some highlights from last week’s party.

There is a heart touching story behind this hand painted French tray by Fran at eleven-o-one.

I can just picture Fran laboring over this tray as she wonders about the elderly man who sold it to her.

Another talented artist caught our attention last week with her handmade signs.

Holly from Full Circle Creations hand painted this sign onto a door front that she had on hand.  Check out Holly’s etsy shop for more of her creations.

We also got to share in Judy’s excitement as she showed us the cake stand that she won.

Judy barely got it out of the box before she created this lovely Spring vignette. Congratulations on the win, Judy!

Be sure to grab the featured button, ladies!

I feel so privileged to have y’all join me every week for Show & Tell.  I’m really looking forward to seeing what you link up this week.

Link up as many projects as you like.  Just be sure to provide a link back to the party so your friends can find us.  The more the merrier….more friends to visit, more inspiration and more exposure to your own blog.  So, come on.  Let’s get this party started!

Show & Tell #13

I am getting ready to go to bed in a minute…I know, it’s a bit early for me, but I’m trying to do better.  (I just reread that sentence.  I swear, watching Justified brings out the country girl in me.  And my husband tells me the accent really comes out after I’ve been with my family, too.)

Back to my sentiment.  My heart is full, and y’all are the reason for that.  The encouragement and camaraderie that I feel from you has me fighting back tears.  I’m pretty much speechless except to say thank you.  I’ll do my best to reciprocate the blessings.  Love y’all!

You know what else I love?  A good party.  Here are the features from the last Show & Tell party.

There are so many things I love about the gift box from meeha meeha. I have a great appreciation for giving gifts with meaning.  Not only did Meeha put thought into the gift, but with the wrapping, too.

This is such a thoughtful and creative way to wrap a present.

Marianne showed us the beautiful wainscot going up in her dining room.

Can’t wait to see the new furniture in there, too!

I’m a sucker for anything sentimental.  So, it stands to reason that Rob’s vintage traveling basket tugged on my heartstrings.

This basket is like a little love note between Rob and his wife.  He is always sure to pack some comforts of home and she sends care packages.  I hope I’m not embarrassing you, Rob. ;)

Natalie did a great job on this side table make over.

I hope you will visit her blog to see the before.

If you’ve been featured this week, feel free to grab the featured button.

And now it’s time for another Show & Tell party!

Link up your crafts, diy projects, home decor, tutorials, photography, recipes…whatever you’d like to Show & Tell us about.

Link up as many projects as you like.  Please invite your friends and leave them “directions” with a link back to this party.

Now, go have fun!

We had a really fun party last week.  Thanks to everyone who joined in!  It is such a treat to get to “see” you every week.  This party is starting to feel like a place for old friends to get together and catch up.

If we were meeting in person, I think it would be fun to sit around in Kelly’s dream kitchen.

Can’t you just picture us gathered around the island talking over coffee?

Or, we could have a slumber party in Wendy’s master bedroom.

We could pretend we were all princesses in a fairytale. I can almost hear us giggling the night away as we share secrets.

Maybe Jen’s friend wouldn’t mind if we slip off our coats and get comfortable at her house.

We could wander over to the living room and have some good ole girl time around the warmth of the fire.

If we were craving the comfort of friends just sitting in quiet familiarity, the serene view at Katherine’s place would be the perfect meeting place.

Such a peaceful promise of a new season.

How about a pool party?  I’m sure Betsy wouldn’t mind.

I’m always up for sitting poolside with the girls.

If you have been featured today, feel free to grab a button for your sidebar.

It all sounds like a good time to me.  In the meantime, I’m happy to host again.

So, let’s get together for another Show & Tell, shall we?

If you are not a follower, I would be delighted to have you join mrs. hines class as a Linky Follower, via RSS feed, facebook or email.  Just go over to my sidebar and find what option works best for you.

I hope you will take the time to mix and mingle…that’s what makes a link party fun.  Link up as much as you  like.  I want to see it all…inspirational words, photography, crafts, recipes, decor, diy projects, tutorials…anything that you want to Show & Tell us.

The more the merrier!  So I’d love for you to invite your friends by leaving a link back to the party.  Think of it as giving them directions.  ;)

Have fun!
